MartinT (4781), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Dec 9, 2005 The Lure: A lingering head shrouds the mild fruitiness and dormant haystack. Cereal sweetness eventually surfaces, but nothing here makes me want to take the plunge.
The Festivities: Toasted malt flavors dwell in a crisp body which seems to lack some girth. Or maybe the carbonation is too important for my tastes. Either way, a partial flavor void is created, as delicate grassy hops and their wooden bitterness build in the last half, attracting dryness. An easy pint to down.
Transcendence: Burp.
rmussman (819), California, USA Jul 1, 2009 An average european pilsner. A decent amount of head, crisp and refreshing. sneagrams3 (1615), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Jun 24, 2009 Tasted 6/24/09. 500ml bottle. Filtered with a golden hue. Spiraling white head. Aromas of cereal grains and sweetgrass. Touch toast and caramel. Crisp nose. Light to medium bodied with a crisp effervescence. Lightly roasted malts and a dry finish. This is satisfying and leaves a faint cloying sticky finish. Faintly grassy. This is straight up! True to style and refreshing. drfabulous (1063), Columbia, Missouri, USA Jun 24, 2009 Distributor rep went on and on about this one. Apprently it is a big seller in Europe. I found it to be fairly basic. A pilsner. That’s about it. rosenbergh (487), Helsinki, Finland Jun 20, 2009 500 ml bottle. From Tallinn, Estonia.
Clear golden colour with medium-size head.
Straw, grain and malt in aroma. Same with the flavour plus some hoppy bitterness. hobbersr (275), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Jun 17, 2009 Pours a pale yellow with a tinge of green and has a frothy white head. Aroma is a full on Saaz assault. Musty, oily, apples, grain and spice. This beer tastes like when I had to shovel out grain bins as a kid on the farm. Musty dusty grain with spice and a hint of green apple. Decent bitterness. No adjuncts present, I like that. Soft mouth feel. Decent pil. TheHulk (52), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Jun 16, 2009 There really isn’t any aroma and my friend remarked that it looked like a tall glass of piss, which it mostly does. There is a surprising hop flavour that isn’t too strong but really doesn’t seem like it belongs in something so clear and only slightly yellow. The hops flavour passes quickly and your moth is left almost the same as it was before you had a drink. Refreshing! Great in the heat. DeadGirl (47), New York, New York, USA Jun 14, 2009 Draught at RNH (NYC). Pours a light, clear yellow. Thin head. Crisp bitterness with a faint aftertaste. Classic feel, but mediocre at best. Jukkabro (2768), Tampere, Finland Jun 6, 2009 Dark yellow colored, huge white head. Nice floral and hopped aroma with good fruits. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is softer in fruity start, aftertaste turns to hopped with fruits still. Bitterness lasts. Good pils.
