Díky tomu má i Birell Polotmavý jemně hořkou chuť, tolik podobnou chuti tradičních ležáků.

Bottle. Wow, I actually liked this one! Lovely brown with a frothy head. Aroma is of course unfermented wort, but it is partly subdued by its toastiness. There also seem to be some hops in there. While the palate is watery, it somehow fits the picture nicely, and the taste really makes sense, which is strange for a non-alcoholic beer. The decision to make a non-alcoholic Vienna was definitely good. It is quaffable and the unfermented wort manages not to be sickly. A pleasant surprise.

On bottle in Czech republic. Good foam. Light body & light/ medium complexity. Refreshing and quite good given it’s o,5% strength

bottled, at zlaty drak restaurant in pilsen. not a bad idea to make a vienna non-alcoholic beer (apart from the lack of alcohol). the extra caramel character at least balances well with some old hay aroma and light dusty bitterness. but of course the end result is a feeling of dissatisfaction from the extreme thinness of this beer

Bottle. Barva: světle hnědá, pěna žlutobílá, řídká, nedržící. Vůně: jen lehká chmelová. chuť: Hořká s výrazným sladovým dozvukem, štiplavé. Mezi nealkoholickými pivy mírný nadstandard. Přestože tmavým pivům nefandím, je lepší než světlý Birell.

Bottle: Big vast (off) white head on top of a clear darker orange colored beer. Smell oatmeal, malts, corn, grains and a hint of soap. Taste soap, malts, oatmeal, bitter, and a hint of lightly toasted malts. Malty bitter oatmeal soapy aftertaste. Low carbo, low (to medium) body, soft tingly mouthfeel and a light watery light creamy texture.

Bottle, courtesy of Dedollewaitor. It pours a clear, amber body and a small, off-white head. Weak toffee aroma with pale malts. The flavor is quite boring, not unpleasant, but almost. Caramel, hops, bitterness and some fruits. Thin on the palate. An alcohol free beer I can easily do without, even though it’s not bad, just boring. 110319
