COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Gold to light amber color, with medium sized head. Mild aroma of malt and cereals, a bit breadish. The malt flavor is quite good, with tones of caramel and cereals; there is light residual sweetness; quite strong bitterness. Pleasant malty beer.

0.5L bottle, in courtesy of yngwie. Pours a deep gold colored body, topped by a layer of tiny blond bubbles. Modest aroma of light grainy, light toasted malts and grass-scented hops. Surprisingly flavorful. Light sweet, toasted and peppery malts, along with an earthy and grassy hop flavor. Distinct bitterness. Light to medium full. Slick texture. Medium long, balanced malty-bitter ending. Quite tasty with good drinkabilty. A like this one.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2011 Bottle. It’s an almost clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma has fruityness, pale malts and a touch of hops. Fruity and grainy flavor with a nice bitterness. Medium to full body, dry and nicely carbonated. Lasting bitter finish. A nice one, easy drinking and quite tasteful. Updated 111125: lifted aroma from 5 to 6, and overall from 12 to 13. It’s a nice beer, that’s for sure. 110820

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Sweet malty nose with a whiff of grassy hops. Medium body, sweet malts, a little sulphur, again grassy hops with a subdued hoppiness. Pleasant and very drinkable, but not really a Danish "Classic". 240811

Bottle 50cl from Papsoe thanks a lot, nose is grassy and sweet like. A very caramel and cereal beer, lot of hops on grassy and hay side pleasant bitterness which remains very long. the body is nice sweet, a bit burning, toasted notes and nice brown bread notes.

Tap, thanks Thomas. It’s unclear bronze with a huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has ntoes of malt and light fruit. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, fruit and slightly dry citrus. It’s straightforward and gives new meaning to the otherwise boring concept “classic” in Denmark. Have since tried it from bottle too, and there I also find notes of straw in both aroma and flavour.
