COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birzieciu is a dark beer of traditional prescription and exceptional flavor, produced by Joint Stock Company Ragutis since 1968. The name is connected with the region of Birzai that cherishes traditions of beer production. New methods of production, technology and special prescription give the beer an exceptional flavor.

Dark amber oclored, little light brown head. Strong bready aroma with sweetness and obvious alcohol, some plummy fruitiness also comes up. Medium bodied. Flavor has even stronger alcohol with this same sweet-plummy breadiness. Sweetness still in aftertaste. Overly sweet and too much alcohol.

Bottle. Clear amber coloured with a fizzy off-white head. Sweet and malty with notes of fruit, carame, metal and hops.

Bottled. An amber beer with a bubbly orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit, and so is the flavor. A bit simple - but OK.

Strong and black. Sweet taste. Balanced beer, to my mind. It’s a pitty that Ragutis stopped brew this beer, when started HORN campaign.

Dark nut brown. Sweet with burnt flavours, and not quite enough malt to back the alcohol up.
