Drunk with Dom and Dan. Guess who brought this along. MALT. Thin. MALT. No alcohol. MALT. Stinks.... rancid... unbearable stench. MALT. Did I mention malt?

This smelt like the devil’s arse, really pungent and quite off putting. The taste was a little better, very malty, thin, like drinking a soft drink. With added malt. Cheers Dan, Lithuanian and low alcohol, that’s a double for me.

Can from somewhere on Rookery Road, Handsworth. Quite the worst stench I’ve ever smelt on a ’beer’ - awful. Genuinely off putting. Tastes like a malty, inoffensive drink. Quite bad. Could be worse, but better than the genuinely awful smell suggests.

Can @ Chriso. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel aroma. Fruity and very sweet caramel flavor with bready hints. Has a sweetish malty grainy caramel toffee finish.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Leighton (6956) - London, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2012
Foil-topped can at Chriso Tasting, London. Pours clear copper-ruby with a small, beige cream head. Creamy toffee sugar aroma with notes of brown bread and caramel. Big sweet flavor with wimpy brown bread, light berries. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish with light and sticky caramel, more brown bread. Bah, it’s not as bad as it could be.

Small offwhite head. Clear deep red body. Earthy plastic aroma with cinnamon and caramel notes. Very firmly musty. Dry-sweet earthy raisiny taste with honey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Not much in the way of aftertaste. Quite nice, but not great. (0.5l can, Kaimas, Vilnius.)

500ml foil-topped can. Can proclaims 1.25% alcohol, label says under .5%.
It pours a dark brown with a large, foamy, slightly of-white head.
The smell is decent. It has a tanginess to it that is reminiscent of dark fruits, specifically raisin. There is some noticeable rye, syrup, and earthiness.
It is sweet with a noticeable sugariness that is not a part of the malt bill. More of a soda-like version. That being said, I am starting to get used to these, it is like a healthier soda (though this stuff isn’t healthy at all). This one isn’t as tangy. The flavor is of burnt butterscotch and some sugar. It is

First US review ;)
Poured from a 2L plastic bottle, into a Hoegaarden glass.
$3.99 at Three Sisters Delicatessen in Chicago.
Fizzy tan foam, it settles quickly to a ring around the edge. Crystal clear caramel color, crimson highlights in direct light. Sweet bready aroma, a little musty or funky like wet barley.
Astringent up front with some artificial berry flavor, moving into more sweet grainy territory. Aftertaste hangs around momentarily, thankfully not overly sweet. Soda carbonation, easy to drink in gulps and not think much about it.
Sadly i’m thinking "how am I going to finish a 2 liter of this"...
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Skinnyviking (5956) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 5, 2010
Can. High fluffy and lasting off-white head. Clear amber body. Very sweet malt aroma. Very sweet and malty candilyke flavor. Low carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste.
