I had them back to back and I still can’t decide. This beer leaves a fantastic taste in your mouth for literal minutes after each sip. Apparently I’m a Rahr fanboy now. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Tap at brewery. Pours a thick, dark mahogany with a nice, off-white head. Aroma is almost non-existent, but what little I could detect pointed in the direction of raisin and malt with a touch of sweetness.. Flavor is very approachable smoky peated malt with a smoky sugar finish. Mouthfeel is thick and gooey. A very enjoyable and approachable scotch ale. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA
