Dark coffee, woody, and malty flavors. Like drinking velvet, it’s very rich and flavorful. Very tasty beer! Love the coffee flavors and how smooth it goes down but wished the malt taste lingered as long as the coffee.

On tap at The Hay Merchant. Pours a dark amber with a small creamy beige head. The aroma is a bready malt and caramel. Medium mouthfeel wtih caramel and roast. Easy to drink a very good scotch ale from Rahr.

on tap- Pour is a dark brown..Nose is caramel and roasted malts, sweetness and toffee..Taste is roasted malts and caramel/toffee mix with some vanilla..Palate is Medium and oily with light bitterness..This is a damn good beer.

Dark Brown with thin beige head that lingers for a few minutes. Sweet Malty caramel aroma. Nice medium mouthfeel with slightly sweet smoked and caramel malt taste. Filling finish.

Very dark brown, almost black, with a modest beige head that fades to a thick ring. Aroma of nuts, caramel, and rye. Taste is nearly all caramel and roasted malt, with a very slight bitterness at the finish. Medium-full bodied and a touch creamy. Alcohol well hidden.

When you get past 80 two things happen. 1 you become more intuned with the weather and 2. Corn becomes your enemy!

Pours very dark brown with a medium sized head that slowly fades to a film. Lacing coats the glass. Aroma is rye bread with some nutty and caramel notes. Taste malt, rye, some caramel sweetness, and a hint of alcohol in the finish. Pretty full bodied. Very good.
