3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From notes, 5/11/11:
Rep’d Cowtown all the way by pouring a 12 oz bottle into my TCU pint glass.
Aroma: Very average here. Smell of biscuity malt and slight hops. Typical amber lager here in every way.
Appearance: Nice amber color with a quickly dissipating white foamy head. No lacing.
Taste: Pretty typical here as well. Again, the sweet, biscuity malts. Slight hops in the finish. Got a little of the tartness that others mentioned.
Palate: A little on the thin side for an amber lager. Carbonation was light. Mouthfeel clean and a little thin on the finish.
Overall: Good session beer to support my local brewery with. Nothing special, but nothing wrong with it, either.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Dallas airport. Pour is red amber and head fades quick. Nose matches style, nothing more. Body is lite and easy, with malt dominating a pretty simple
Mix. Smooth and would be good on a hot Texas day. Would have again but won't seek out.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bought at United Supermarkets.
Pours a deep red with a tan head.
Smells like a bit of caramel with some malt.
tastes? Malty and caramel with a bitter finish.
palate? Not exactly watery and oddly it was sticky.
Overall? Not bad, not great. Nothing offensive...unless you pick this beer up by it’s other name, Buffalo Butt!

Clear bright Amber with a generous foamy off cream head. Creamy nougat Amber malt nose with a dash of toast and crust. Smooth, crisp flavor with bright amber malts, a touch of cracker lageriness, and a wee touch of grassy hop. Very balanced, crisp, slightly lagery and Amber malty.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Every so slightly hazy, reddish amber... Coarse white head with cascading lace. Aroma was wimpy, some sweet grainy malt, perhaps apricot. Not much punch at all in the flavor. Tastes like something you’d get at BJ’s or another chain brewhouse.....some slightly toasty malts, bread. It just sort of dies in your mouth.
