Great taste. Not much aftertaste but it lingers a bit. Had one after shoveling snow off the driveway so maybe that colors my opinion but this is good beer.

Well balanced amber lager. Great aroma while looking at a pleasant red color appearance. Best Rahr & Sons I've had so far.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The smell was nice and mellow with a lil fruit/hops.
I was expecting a lil more of a red color.
I thought it was a lil more hoppy compared to other reds... Nice caramel sweet start with a dry hop finish.
I like this.

This Amber lager could be a little darker in color...... I was expecting a Red Beer..... go figure. This beer, another offering from the Rahr Brewery in Fort Worth is also worth the effort! It’s a well balanced beer with nice caramel undertones balanced by spicy hops. Again, a very dry beer - perfect for the Texas heat. A nice head stayed during the entire tasting - which didn’t take very long. Again, a strong beer from Fort Worth, TX!

Poured red with a thin (in size) and thick(in texture) tan head that formed a rich skin over the top...smell is way malty and nutty...very roasted flavor...quite malty...nutty too...complex for this style...I am quite impressed...we might have a good local brewery!!

Bottle pours pale amber orange with a finger of foam. Smells of bready malt and sweet toffee and caramel are smooth. The taste is nice and malty but not as sweet as the aroma with a herbal hop spice that work nicely in the finish. It is a smooth a slightly creamy beer that goes down real easy when cold and it is not hurt much by warmth. Enjoyable on a cool fall evening.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Predictably red. Again, no head thanks to the bartenders pour. Strong malt aroma, maybe a little over the top, but inviting nevertheless. Smooth palate, very little decernable hop character.

Beer is medium copper colored with a lightly retained off white head. Flavor is very malty with some smokey flavors. Full mouthfeel. Tasty & full flavored whilst remaing easy to drink.

A full amber color with a tint of red. A good pour, has a strong 1 inch thick and frothy off white head. Clear to see through and not many bubbles. Aroma of good malt, yeast and dough. Has that bready doughy taste like but its good. Reminds me of Fat Tire, but better. Rahr Red has a nice hop character. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Well behaved finish. Decent carbonation and bite, and I don’t think it’s artificial. This is a good beer. Should be enjoyed by more people.
