Roasty smell with milk choolate flavor and milky texture. Honey and maybe some mint in the finish? Whatever, pair with andes mints. Very tasty with awesome mouthfeel. Put with vanilla ice cream too.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Dark brown pour with a tan head. This one is all about the chocolate. I get some strong cocoa notes in the aroma as well as a bit of roasted malt. The flavor is more of the same. The chocolate and roasted malt come through strongly but there is also a bit of cream character. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice beer.

Sampled at the 2014 Festival untapped in Fort Worth. Pours black with deep brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of rich chocolate backed by roasted malts and dark grains. Flavor is again really rich in chocolate with hints in bitterness with a bit of dark grain backing.

(Draught) cloudy dark brown with a ring of creamy fine tan bubbles. Nose of raisin, light cocoa, clean chocolate nose. Taste of rich milk chocolate, light raisin, creamy body, sweet with a nice finish. The original for me, is better.

2/25/12. On cask during RBWG 2012. Darn brown pour with a nice brown head. Aroma of sweet caramels and plenty of chocolate. Nice chocolate flavor as well on top of the nice sweet maltiness of the brew. Not bad!

Pretty much black beer with a small tan dripping lace head. Cocoa leathery earthy smell. Full bodied. Great cocoa malt flavor with well balanced bittering hops. Smooth and velvety mouthfeel. Clean cocoa malt finish. Somewhere between an impeial stout and a desert beer. Easily drinkable.

Beer engine at Ginger Man in Fort Worth. Nice stout. Strong alcohol, tons of delicious burnt malt flavor with coffee and the cocoa really brought any chocolate flavors to the front.
