On tap at the Big Texas Beer Fest. Pours a medium brown color with a white head. The aroma has some big caramel malt notes with some dark fruit and a bit of citrus thrown in. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of malty sweetness and caramel notes, as well as some cherry, grape and orange notes. Low bitterness. Alcohol is definitely present. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Liked this one quite a bit.

(Draught) deep ruby/brown with creamy tan head. Nose of caramel, raisin, medium hop amount and dark fruit. Taste of rich caramel, light citrus, raisin, cream and excellent palate finish. A really well balanced American barley wine!
