3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark cola pour with a thin cream colored head. Sweet cola and caramel aroma with a little bread. Taste is molasses, earthy hops, caramel, and a bit of soy. Pretty sweet. Sticky texture. Not bad overall, but the hint of soy keeps it from being really good.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma of fruit cake along with hints of dark fruit. Pours a thick deep dark brown with a thin, none lasting, tan head and no lacing. The taste is malty up front with a satisfying hoppy ending. Raisins, burnt malt, and a pleasing touch of alcohol in the finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Nice oily mouthfeel. Overall, this beer was a pleasant surprise. The flavor continues to expand as it warms.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Big Texas Beer Fest. Pours a medium brown color with a white head. The aroma has some big caramel malt notes with some dark fruit and a bit of citrus thrown in. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of malty sweetness and caramel notes, as well as some cherry, grape and orange notes. Low bitterness. Alcohol is definitely present. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Liked this one quite a bit.
