COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Regulators were a deputized posse, persistent and strong. They were formed to counter what was belived to have been a corrupt sheriff. The Regulators were resilient, relentless individuals who rode hard across the plains. It is in this vision that we created our doppelbock, a brawnier version of the traditional bock, that was first brewed in Munich by the Paulaner monks. Our doppelbock has a large, creamy, persistent head with intense malty flavors and aromas with little hop presence. So saddle up and ride with the Regulator!

Bottle thanks to Fratto. Pours with a clear, deep bronze hued body with a small off-white head. Aromas are nutty, malty, herbal hops, light caramel and munich. Toasty. Flavors are malty, nutty, molasses with a slightly distracting spicy hop character. Clean yeast wise. Medium bubbles, medium bodied, not overly sweet.

Its good. Don’t confuse this with a doppelweizen like I did, its a doppelbock and it kicks ass. Its a murky, plum-tinted brown color with a leathery off-white head. The aroma is very malty but not sweet. In other words, its good; "not sweet" being the key phrase there. The flavor has a good bite and malty but not sweet taste but the finish is unfortunatley a little syrupy. Nevertheless this beer doesn’t suck like you might expect it to. Why you may ask... the advertised lack of hops. I didn’t notice. I think they put a lot of hops in it.

PLEASE list the ABV on your bottles. A little smoke with some nice maltyness. The holiness comes through in the end to cut the malt. Not bad.

Thanks to fratto for sharing this bottle at bu11zeye’s 10,000th tasting. The beer pours a brown color with an off-white head. The aroma has a lot of cocoa and hazelnuts, with some toffee and caramel malt also thrown in. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of toffee and caramel malt, with some nice cocoa and dry chocolate notes. There is also a little bit of brown sugar and a little bit of alcohol. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
