Thanks to tizzlejizzle for sharing this bottle. Brownish-red pour with a tan head. Aroma is full of pine and some black, bitter malt. Flavor is bitter pine from the hops as well as some light roasted malt and a bit of earth. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Draft at Ft Worth FS. This is the Visionary #2 Black IPA. Really well made black IPA with s strong malt backbone. Good bitterness with some syrupy sweetness at times.

It’s a shame this beer only has one rating. Rahr is brewing up some pretty tasty beers over in Fort Worth these days and this might be one of their best. Beer pours almost black with a big, totally retained off white head. Aroma is very nice with pine and citrus and chocolate piled upon one another. Taste is a wonderful balance between sweet and bitter. This is a beer that should be sought out and rated by other Texas folk. Yummy!!!

Shared at the local homebrew Christmas party. Dark pour with a light brown head. Aroma is chocolate, dirt, and sap. Taste is coffee, chocolate, more earth, and spice.
