3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 moonbug (21) - Bryan, - APR 13, 2013
Dark imperial IPA. Light sudsy head. If you drink your coffee black then you have seen its color. The aroma is reminiscent of some freshly baked delight placed ever so lovingly beside a newly picked bouquet of flowers. The taste is lightly hoppy with wisps of malt...very balanced. A Fort Worth beer that is worth your while!

Draft at FS FW. I had no idea what I ordered and am honestly not 100% what a good dunkerler bock is. No matter what, this was tasty: nice dark malt with a nice bitter kick.

22 oz. bottle from my buddy Bryan in Houston- thanks, Bryan! Pours a clear copper with a small eggshell colored head and some visible yeast sediment in the glass. Aroma of chocolate, brown sugar, nuts, toast, straw, and mild spice. Flavor of caramel and toasted malts, brown sugar, straw, grass, spice, and nuts. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a sweet, malty mouthfeel. Not bad.

The pour is a dark amber color with an off-white head. Lots of toffee and bread malt aromas with a touch of toast. There is a bit of a nuttiness in the background. Tastes much like it smells. Sweet bread and toffee with a hint of brown sugar. A nice nuttiness and perhaps even a hint of vanilla. It’s also a bit toasty with a mild fruitiness. Not bad at all.
