3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Petrol Station. Pours dark brown to black with an offf-white head. Nose is spices - allspice and nutmeg. Taste is coffee, spices and roast malt. Mouthfeel is medium, slightly chalky and dry. While good in small quantities, it was hard to finish a whole pint.

Bottle. Pours deep, dark amber with nice off white head. Lacing is pretty good. Nice spicey aromas, hint of sweetness and lots of roast, chocolate, and whiskey notes. Best brew Iíve had from Rahr.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
This beer pours a very deep amber/ almost black with a medium tan head. The aromas are bourbon, chocolate and a touch of cinnamon. The mouthfeel is sweet and watery. This was a great beer! Canít wait to have another! Cheers!

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer pours dark brown to black with a smallish tan head. There is not too much aroma but what is there is mainly molasses and roasted malt. I really expected more aroma from a beer like this. The flavor is better than the smell. Roasted malt is the main flavor but malt sweetness and spices are also present. The spices are somewhat muddled but I think nutmeg and cinnamon are in there somewhere. The beer is not too complex but is not a bad beer. Medium body with medium carbonation. The beer is very creamy which is the best aspect of the beer.
It should be noted that this beer appears to vary in carbonation. I have had several of these this year and the carbonation has varied from almost non-existent to medium. The carbonation definitely helps the beer.

Bottle pours a deep brown with a thin off white head. Laces fairly well. Has a decent aroma of coffee, roast, and chocolate. The carbonation is okay. Has a good flavor sweet but not too much. Alcohol is well hidden. A good blending. The texture is thick. The body id medium. Has a good finish with a good aftertaste. Pretty good beer.

Aroma of roosted malt & coffee. Poured a deep dark brown color with tiny particles floating in the beer matrix. It tasted almost like a stout, but not as strong. A little watery on the palate for me. Overall this is a great local beer that I wish more people got to experience.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Grabbed this on draft. You can tell itís the same beer as Whiskey (End of Winter) Warmer, but itís better. The bourbon doesnít take over the taste. Thereís a roast and raisin taste to it and the finish is a bit sweet. Definitely one of Rahrís better beers.

Deep brown in the glass with a very thin white to tan head. Nice nutty, roasted aroma with maybe a hint of coffee in there too. Flavors on the palate are similar to the aroma. Very nice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught > Gingerman. Better than most Rahr beers but thatís not saying much. Seemed to lack flavor. Just tasted sorta bland and the palate was pretty thin too. Nevertheless, it certainly wasnít offensive. Had some sweet roasty flavors. Iíll try again just to make sure itís not better than Iím describing.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. The white tape guy! Thanks a bunch. Pours damn near opaque brown with a foamy 4-finger beige head. Whoa - aroma of dark malt and cinnamon sticks (we just got a bunch of those). Medium plus body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is dark malt, astringent cinnamon bark thing, coffee, maybe chocolate. Yeh, I think chocolate. The head is clinging all over the tulip glass. Iíll also buy nutty. But muted nutty. Finishes dry, but some malt sweet insists on hanging around. Then everything goes creamy. Creamed coffee aspects. Enjoying the heck out of this. Merry Xmas guys. Iím with Fratto on this one.
