Draught. Another nice warmer that does not attack you with ABV. Dark brown pour that stays pretty still. Aroma is mostly sweet malt and toffee. Flavour is more malt and a little spice. Easy drinking.

This beer look like a beer should when you pour it in a beer glass. Its 80% opaque brown malt colored with a 1 inch beige head that settles to a 1/8" faster than id prefer. The aroma is clean and has notes of spring water and clove. The flavor is heavy with heavily toasted, roasted, almost burnt malt, and clove. Appeal is smooth and easy. Lacing is light on the glass. Finish is spicy and malty. Tastes good when its 68 in your house and 105 outside.

12oz bottle via trade with legion242 - Thanks - Pous dark brown with a short creamy tan head. Aromas of caramel, yeast, toffee, toasted malts, and a whiff of chocolate. Flavor is caramel, toffee, toasted malts, chocolate and even a little coffee. Medium body with light carbonation. Really though this wasn’t too bad...

A rich malt heavy ale. Fruity and sweet, somewhat caramelly. A tough rough, though, with a notable alcohol/grainy finish. Full palate.

Pour is opaque maroonish brown with a dense off white head...smell is slightly unpleasant with some cabbage and stagnant water notes...taste is sweet and thin...toasted nuts mostly with a slight bitter vegetal finish...

Bottles, tap, brewery. I have a ton of this each winter. Dark, dark red pour. Cinnamon and malt aroma. Tastes of caramel, malts, a little sweetness, and a hint of alcohol. Thick feel with a lasting aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small frothy beige head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a bready malt with caramel and roast. Thin mouthfeel with a rich malt and chocolate with a bready finish. Easy to drink hiding the alcohol well. A good English strong ale from Rahr.
