Pours jet black with a small head. Aroma is of cocoa, nuts, and is quite subdued. Tasting notes include burnt malts, cocoa, nutty, and a slight bittering finish. A decent stout, but not the greatest neither.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can from LCBO. Pours a really dark, near pitch black colour, with a dark tan head that drops quite fast and disappears. The aroma is roasted malts and nuts, cocoa powdery and chocolaty notes. Tastes really sweet, roasty, chocolaty. Dry (almost ashy) in the mouth, body light, carbonation very thin and moderately active. Not very exciting, more like average (good) stuff.

Craft Clerkenwell Bottle Share. Thanks to the Wingman. Opaque dark amber - brown beer, small tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, touches of dark chocolate and coffee. Tangy dark fruits. Light crispy finish. Standard stuff.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can thanks to Wingman. It pours black with a small tan head. the nose is toasty, umami, roasted malt, salted liquorice and milk chocolate. The taste is sweet roast, milk chocolate, sugary, cola, stickiness and burnt caramel with short finish. Medium body, average carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. I found this one a bit sweet and one-dimensional.

Can shared at a CBC Clerkenwell tasting - London. Cheers to Dave for this treat. Pours rich black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The aroma has notes of milk chocolate, light roast and burnt toast. Medium sweet flavor with some sugary chocolate, light minerality, ash, raisins. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with more roast and cocoa. Not bad, really.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours opaque black with zero light transfer. Thin tan head, little retention and no lacing. Aroma of bittersweet chocolate, malts and faint vanilla and smoke. Flavour is predominantly cocoa, espresso, burnt sugar, and subtle vanilla. Lingers molasses and some ash. Medium body and lively carbonation helps to mask the warming alcohol finish. Excellent Stout, will have to revisit this one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
As black ink stain as I have ever seen a stout, with a thick, bubbly mocha head. Easily one of the best looking stouts I have ever seen.
Aromas are some very dark chocolate and some chocolate milk but I ding it for some underlying dryer lint smell.
It’s a rich and creamy mouthfeel that leads to a very creamy chocolate milk taste with a dark cacao finish.
A very nice and drinkable stout, but not quite up to the World Class ones that I have had the pleasure to enjoy.
