Bottle bought at the LCBO in Kitchener Canada. This beer has 90 IBU and 7.5% abv. Golden copper color. Good head. Aroma of malt, bitter hops. Taste mirrors the aroma plus dark bitter fruits. Dry bitter hops finish. I this another double dead elephant than the one listed? This one has more abv and more ibu.

Pours dark amber with a foamy tanned head. Aroma is hops and fruit juice. Good sweet carmel and citrus grapefruit flavour. Full body, medium carbination and a good bitter throughout. Not sure which I like better this or the original Dead Elephant, both are great beers.

Canned. The body is hazy, with a small white head. The aroma is hoppy, the taste is very sweet.

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy and bitter hops with some caramel malt notes is OK. Taste is a mix of citrusy and resinous hops with bitter hops and some caramel malt. Body is full with good carbonation. Old school IIPA with too much caramel malt and bitterness.

750 ml bottle. Pours a veiled golden pale amber with a resilient white head. Aroma is fruity, rather malty. Flavor is caramel, grapefruit. Finish is loads of grapefruit, lime, lemon, strong bitterness. Some hints of resin. Full body, average carbonation. Strong, but good ; a hearty IPA.

bottle 7.5%. Poured cloudy medium-amber with a large yellow/off-white head. Citrusy grapefruit aroma. Medium body, creamy carbonation with a sticky finish. Bready malt, peppery and piney notes, oak and rye flavours.

I'm sort of surprised at the disparate ratings below. Not much hop aroma but nice brown sugar/caramel/honey malt. Sweet and slightly fruity, orange marmalade, with some nice resinous hop bitterness. Solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle. Hazy amber with a frothy off-white head. Flavors are sweet cereals, spruce gum, grapefruit and alcohol with grassy and dank notes. Medium body, moderate carbonation, oily texture.

bunget (854) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 4, 2015
750ml bottle from LCBO. Slightly hazy golden-amber body, medium beige head with excellent retention, plenty of lacing. Classy British IPA aroma with a spicy kick: lots of caramel malt, herbs, honey, cookies, peppercorn, pear brandy. Taste is a little harsher: lots of herbs, wormwood, pine needles, some caramel. Somehow unidimensional.

a fresh piney nose with bready malt. The taste profile features some piney hops and a mixture of fruit, including citrus, berries and maybe melon. The malt is very soft, sweet and bready - not a bad thing for an IPA. The body is a bit thin, though and I wouldn’t mind a little more richness for a iipa.
