At the window watching the leslieville post-yuppies stroll by. This pour serves the activity well. Soft pencil thin head & generous lacing on the glass. Goes down well.

A hazed golden amber ale with a thick off white head. In aroma, a sweet caramel malt with light British hops, butterscotch. In mouth, a buttery caramel malt with grassy British hops with butterscotch. On tap at Arrow and Loon, Sept 26 2012.

on cask at Grand River Aniversary Party 2011. murky light golden, very small white head. big punchy hops and fruity, malty, yeasty esters nose. huge yeast flavour, beer buried behind the yeast. probably not a bad beer but a really terrible cask.

From notes.. Amber pour, 1 finger of head. Hops and cigarette butts in the nose. The cigarette wasn;t as prominent in the taste, but fairly out of balance. I got some citrus fruit and roasted nut(??) I suspect they were having bottling issues as most of their beers I’ve had has a weird cogarette feel to it.

On draft at the Winking Judge in Hamilton Ontario. Pours a golden honey colour. Small amount of white head and lacing. Smells sweet and quite hoppy, a little grain as well. Tastes hop bitter, fruity and piney. More piney on the back end.

An amber orange color - smallish cap doesn’t last. Pleasant aroma of a fresh ale: fruity, hoppy, earthy...some sweet malt. Flavor is much as its aroma. Not well balanced, a bit sweet for the style and a bit thin. Malty sweetness with some earthy resinous hopping, clean finish not very bitter. Very pleasant but I wonder about the double IPA tag.

Not exactly a IIPA but pleasant. Pours clearish bright orange. Reddish tinge. No head. I got a lot of cherry from this beer, which was unexpected but pleasant enough. Big hoppy fruitiness, could use more of a malt backbone. Alcohol well hidden.

Bottle- Pours a turbid orange with a frothy and lacey eggshell cap. Nose of apricot, pear, some c- hops with pine and some grapefruit. The aroma also has caramel and odd notes of warm butter. Tastes mildly leafy bitter, mostly sweet, with apricot and other fresh fruit,a bit of earthy funk, then comes the citrus with medium bitterness lingering and a medium body. Not all that bitter really when compared to regular DEA. A disappointment. The only they doubled here was the price.
