COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION Breathe deeply and contemplate this robust ale inspired by traditional Belgian monastic brewers. Rich toasted caramel and chocolate malts meld with delicate spiced fig and plum notes to create serenity in a pint glass. Aged to perfection in red wine barrels.
Draught in a flight at the brewpub. Pours a very dark brown color. Nose seems to be rather sweet, with some caramel notes coming through as well as what I can only describe as candied sugar. Taste is actually dryver than I expected, and just a little bit toasty. Not bad.
