This rare style was invented by farmers in Southwest Belgium, and is now being revived by a handful of craft brewers. Characterized by the unique yeast strain that roams the Belgian countryside, take the time to savor this beer’s complex, spicy aroma and subtle bread & tropical fruit notes.

On tap at washington brewers fest. Red gold pour. Aroma of general citrus. Tastes solid saison yeast, bretta, dusty, orange. Not dry enough on finish. Sticky.

Draught in a flight at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark golden color. Nose has a lot of citrus in there with some orange specifically, as it’s brewed with blood orange, as well as slight bits of funk. Taste is slightly sour and remarkably refreshing. Feels very light and drinkable.
