Den Dorstige Tijger is an India Pale Ale. An IPA is a traditionally heavily hopped beer. Hop used as preservative on long boat trips is a Dutch invention. The English copied this trick with much success. This tiger will quenche your thirst again and again. One leg in the past and one in the present. Pure, soft and balanced.

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing this bottle! Smooth grainy beginning. The body is quite neutral-grainy, the hops are bitter but not too floral. The Best Before is 6 month to go, so I assume the bottle is not too old. No floral hops, grain in the aftertaste, harsh and not too interesting bitterness. Not round or easy to drink. Sad.

33cl bottle. Pours almost clear amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of dry and bitter floral hops, red malt. Taste of dry and floral hops, red malt, green tea, good!

Thuis. Erg kruidig en een geparfumeerde citrusachtige zweem die me niet zo bevalt. Backlog from 2015/07/06.

Murky brown colour with a pink-ish head. Smells like a stale IPA, with some extra notes of artificial strawberries. The taste is also stale, with sweet pine and some hints of strawberries, on top of an almost-medicinal type of bitterness. I’m thinking I might have had a bad bottle, or something.

33cl flesje via HEMA, Maastricht Alcoholpercentage van 6% Uitgeschonken in St. Bernardus glas Uiterlijk: oranjekleurig met amper schuim Aroma en smaak: pijnboom, fruitig als mango, abrikoos, straffe bitterheid Conclusie: stevige smaken maar toch vrij licht van smaak nadien ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from and shared with Craftmember, thanks! Loose, irregular, coarse, off-white head over a misty orangey blonde beer. Appealing aroma of toasted onion, even garlic, parsley, pine needles, grapefruit peel, toasted bread. Crisp, lightly fruity onset, redcurrant and faint mango hints, soft carbo, bit minerally, pleasantly smooth caramelly and lightly toasted malt sweetness providing enough structure for an aromatic and gently bittering hop finish with retronasal pine, onion and citrus peel notes. Lovely, like most of the other Ramses beers I had.

Sweet, caramel, grass, citrus, hops.

Golden/amber beer with a rather small white head.

Starts sweet like the aroma, then gets more bitter and ends rather dry.

Amber coloured IPA, light brown head. Smells of grass, citrus and hop. Dry hopy taste, which lasts long in the mouth. Not spectaculair, but a decent IPA

I wasn’t too impressed by this Ramses Den Dorstige Tijger. It is far from a bad IPA but II find it hard to contribute something to this beer which makes it recognizable.
