COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Den Dorstige Tijger is an India Pale Ale. An IPA is a traditionally heavily hopped beer. Hop used as preservative on long boat trips is a Dutch invention. The English copied this trick with much success. This tiger will quenche your thirst again and again. One leg in the past and one in the present. Pure, soft and balanced.

On tap @ Arendsnest. Pours a red color (with quite a bit of yeast) with a thick, rocky, off-white head. Strong smell of citrussy hops, a bit herbal/resin, and some malty sweetness. Very juicy hopflavor, without being very bitter. Medium bodied. Mild bitter finish. Like other beers from Ramses: maybe not perfectly in balance, but good nonetheless, and definitely worth trying.

Grassy hops, sweet citrus, yeast... soir berries? Medium sweet bitter body, belgian yeastlike but nice... Heavy carbs

33 cl. sampled @ BAF 2014. Thank you! Hazy orange, creamy white; Lots of oily grapefruit hops in the nose, tea, pine, caramel. No nuances hop tea, lots of straightforward bitter, caramel, orange peel. Oily. Enjoyable.

Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, fruits, some hops. Flavour is quite caramel malty, some sweetness, with a light to medium bitter finish. A rather heavily malted/caramel IPA, good but I like my IPA more fresh and fruity.

Bottle@Rootz Harbour. Poured murky brown and a creamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, herbs, toffee, resin, roasted malts, hops, somewhat floral. Decent.

33cl bottle shared Appearance: Dark RUby red, with a nice creamy head on top of it. Aroma: Oranges and light butterscotch, Pine Taste: Starts with sweet caramel and hops More piney and less orange, then the finnish is a dry more hoppy bitternes with more of a light roasted malts backbone .(Which is a bit suprising.) Slightly above medium body, In the mild very refined IPA, maybe not as bold as some others, but quite refined.

Perhaps this beer it a bit too balanced, it needs more hop. Now, it’s a bit too mild for this style.

Gedronken vanuit een 75cl fles. Een zachte ipa die het goed doet op het terras, alleen mis ik nog wat IPA overtuiging. Ik vind hem voor een IPA iets te zacht qua smaak.

Slightly sour&acidic smell. Then the first taste shows it real character, nice bouquet of malt and hop. Also: much more subtle and balanced then expected. Not extremely hoppy and the tropical fruits in the taste were almost all eaten by the tiger. Once the dust settles a nice smooth balanced ale. Crafty, but not a masterpiece. ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

Slightly hazy amber with big off-white head. Fresh and grassy, some tropical fruits, light flowery. Medium sweet roasted malts, with quite big bitter finish. Also some slightly acidic touch. Medium to thin bodied.
