COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. An unclear, brown beer with a dense beige to tan head. Roasted aroma with some milky sour notes. Chocolate and coffee too. There’s a pleasant bitterness in the flavor, with roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Full body, decent carbonation. Roasted finish. Can’t really decide what I think of this. There’s something about it that makes me think infection, and it’s quite straight forward and boring, but also quite enjoyable. 131004

Predominantemente huele a chocolate.

Bottle at the November PINT Den Haag tasting 2013 @ ABC Beers. The aroma is malt, yeast, a little cheesy. The flavour is medium to strong bitter. Medium to heavy bodied with long bitter finish. Really enjoyed this. Super refreshing.

[10/13/13] Draught at Arend’s Nest in Amsterdam. Black with a tan beige head. Roasty aroma with some coffee beans and light vegetal hints. Bittersweet roasty flavor with coffee, a bit of dark chocolate notes and a more bitter finish with light herbal note. Medium-bodied. Decent.

330 ml bottle, poured into a snifter at home. ABV 6.4% Pours an almost totally black beer, with a good sized beige head, with good density and retention. Medium thick lacing on the glass. Intense aroma of black olives pit, followed by roasted malts, chocolate, light vanilla. Taste of olive pit at first that doesn’t linger for long, instead gets replaced almost immediately by a roasted malts flavour, along with lots of coffee and its accompanied bitterness. Quite good. Body is a bit thin, at least for me, but the carbonation is okay. Overall very enjoyable, especially after it warmed up a little.
