330 ml bottle, poured into a snifter at home. ABV 6.4% Pours an almost totally black beer, with a good sized beige head, with good density and retention. Medium thick lacing on the glass. Intense aroma of black olives pit, followed by roasted malts, chocolate, light vanilla. Taste of olive pit at first that doesn’t linger for long, instead gets replaced almost immediately by a roasted malts flavour, along with lots of coffee and its accompanied bitterness. Quite good. Body is a bit thin, at least for me, but the carbonation is okay. Overall very enjoyable, especially after it warmed up a little.

330ml bottle. Reddish darkest brown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Dark malty aroma with hints of chocolate, a touch of roast, coffee, cautious bitter hoppy overtones. Taste is dry dark malty, minimally roasty, grassy hoppy overtones; slightly watery and monotonous, abrupt finish.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2013 A porter with easy flavors. Coffee, chocolate, nuts with a roasted medium bitter dry finish. Good mellow balance of sweet, sour and bitter, making it quite easy going. Has a nice creaminess to it. But there is something going on I don’t really like. Some sort of acidity that annoys me and ruins the beer.
