3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle (ChrisO’s pre-GBBF2011 "Donkey Dork Lord" shindig)
Pleasant rich roast, both on the nose and in the mouth. Texture quite full. Nicely malty. Good porter. Better than many a UK porter, to be honest. Sessionable, I’m sure, despite 6.4%

Almost black in colour. Thin lacy head. Quite a thin texture. Most of the flavour comes through in the finish. Lots of bittersweet malt. Hints of bitter coffee.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 330ml. @ home.
Clear dark dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark chocolate, chocolate malt, moderate hoppy, soapy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Makes you expect more than what it is .. IMO a bit thin and watered ;O)
