COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle @ home. Aroma is lovely hops, fruit, chocolate and liquorice. Flavour is thinner than expected, same for mouthfeel, with a medium bitterness, quite dry, with a faint hint of sweetness. Lot’s of liquorice, hops, some fruit. Good beer, but more body would be nice.

Bottled. Quite good beer! The beer is dark brown, hazy, a bit darker than coke. Actually, the head looks a bit like coke too but with smaller bubbles. The aroma is warm, sweet, with some herbs and flowers as well. Interesting with the hops being so fresh! This tastes good, with a long hoppy finish as well. Nice as a whole!

PotjeBier (1771) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 15, 2010
Bottle from De Bierkoning. Almost black color. Massive, lasting beige head, good lacing. Aroma is roasted, coffee, spicy, a bit fruity. Taste is roasted and bitter. Quite thin bodied. Roasted and bitter finish. Like Ramses’ Hop, not very well balanced, but I still like it.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour with a red hue, brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark fruits, light sweet. Flavour is sweet coffee, roasted malts, fruits, dry bitter roasted and light hoppy finish. Light bodied, a bit thin at times, especially considering ABV.

Bottle: Big light brown foamy head. Dark brown to black color. Smell hop, toasted ingredients, brown sugars, spices and coffee. Good strong bitter taste with hints of coffee and slight hints of toasted ingredients and spices. A long bitter, coffee and bit grassy aftertaste. Interesting.
