A stout from Ramses bier brewed at the 3 Horne brewery. Brewed with biological coffee, vanilla, hopflowers, bog myrtle, juniper berry.

Bottled shared at home - cheers Steven! Pours lively! Big white head on a dark brown beer, doesn’t last. Aroma has faint wood and whisky, some roasted notes. Tastes like a Belgian take on stout, more spirits, slightly medicinal, minty even. Finishes a bit thin for the strength. OK. Too fizzy and a bit confused.

Tap at the Den Haag festival 2013. Poured a dark mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and some yeast in the background. The flavour is medium bitter, citrus zesty, yeasty and with some liqourice too.

Mooie donkere kleur. Leuk flesje. Romig mondgevoel. Smaak is iets bitter, geroosterde mout maar erg subtiel. Nasmaak is heel zacht. Fijne nasmaak.

330ml bottle (shared by FatPhil, thanks). Dark mahogany color. Medium size brown head appears and stays for a while. Dusty, roast, dark fruits in aroma. Smooth and milky texture. Sweet, roast and coffee also in flavor. Very drinkable.

330ml bottle (Bacchanalia, Cambridge)
Rich aroma, some slightly sweet tart dark berry fruitiness, but a good roast too. Super dark ruby red, nice sticky tight beige head. Lovely full smooth palate, gentle carbonation is nice. Great dark roast in the retronasals, turns into stale coffee grounds, but not bitter.Finish is back to a more black-malt roastiness rather than coffee. Tart berries there too still. Very nice stout.

Dark brown. almost black, light beige head. Strong, but rather boring stout, with some coffe, roasted malts and hops. No chocolate, vanilla or juniper berries detectable. Ok body and carbo.

330ml bottle. Hazy dark brown colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Minimally roasty and chocolately dark malty aroma with a decent fruity touch, blackberry. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty with an explicit blackberry note, later dry dark malty with a touch of fruit parings, some juniper.

33cl bottle from Biernavigatie, bottled on 12/08/2011.

Tasted from the bottle, on 30/12/2012. Looks oily black with just a tiny head, which disappears quickly. Aroma is roasty/tart, not very intense. Taste is watery and tart as well, then with notes of roasted malts, biscuits and coffee in the end. Quite drinkable, but a bit too simple for its 9%abv, i would say. Neutral. Ps. After a few sips also could feel distinct booze character lingering the throat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle on the train from Edinburgh (Nina’s Mini Market) - 08/12/12. Opaque deep chestnut brown with a thin tan head that retains well. Nose is light roast malt, touch of hops and pine, hint of mint. Taste comprises roast malts, light vanilla, toffee, background hops and pine, a litte boozeyness. Fuller end of medium bodied, smooth on the palate, dry in the finish. Decent enough stout - the alcohol is well disguised.
