A ruby red Dubbel with a full malty aroma and taste. Through the use of various hops a bitterness has been created that is clearly noticeable without being overwhelming.

Very dark brown with thick, lasting head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of bitter, roasted malts. A hint of cocoa and dark dried fruits.

0,33 pullo@ OPP. Samea, lähes musta. Näyttää stoutilta. Tuoksussa paahteista mallasta, tummaa hedelmää, luumua ja suklaata. Maussa paahteista tummaa mallasta, punaista marjaa, humalaa. Turhan kevyt, loppuu kesken.

0,33l bottle @ One Pint Pub. Pours very dark brown with a low tan head. Looks like a stout! Aroma is sweet malts and dark fruits. Flavor is slightly roasted sweet malts with some dark fruits and some hops. A bit light for my taste, but decent.

Bottle from the Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Poured a murky dark brown with a massive frothy light tan head. It was so frothy it took me a while to actually taste this! The aroma is rich roasted malt, yeast and some woody light hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth malt liqourice bitter, floral hop palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Not a great beer imo. The combination of flavours is not particularly pleasant.

33cl bottle Appearance: Slight hazy redbrown color, with a small head with poor retention. Aroma: Rubus, some caramel and nuts ? Taste: roasted malts, light coofee, not so sweet, Dinish is quite chocolate bitterness with some notes going in tol icorice dirrection. Thin body, slightly below average carbonation. Not your typical dubbel. Ramses once again makes something which goes in a different direction,. And like the past cases this turned out quite well, just don’t expect a sweet double, more a bitter double which is going into porter teritory.

Bottled, batch 20120315b, dated 30-04-2012, large sample. Slight hazy redbrown color, big frothy light brown head. Aroma is nutty, milk chocolate, slight spicy, slight fruity and candy sugar like, caramel. When taking a sip, there is quite some licorice overwhelming me and taking over the aroma. It was probably already there, but i didnt recognize it yet. Taste is a bit licorice sweet, but also bitter of it. Interesting brew, clearly dominated by the malts and not so by the yeast character. Decent complexity, decent balance although a bit tilting towards the licorice. Ok stuff.

Vanuit 75cl fles. Pikzwart, past niet bij een dubbel. Bitter en chocolade tinten. Prima
