bman1986 (79), Broadstairs, Kent, England Aug 19, 2008 Cask: Light golden yellow. Malt and hops in the aroma. Quiyte a creamy, hoppy flavour, also a little sweet. Really nice refreshing ale. DA (2419), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Nov 15, 2006 On cask at Bruxellensis. This brew was a lot more floral then the No. 3. The hops actuall displayed some of their floral character and not just their bitterness. Malts were light up front with a bit more fruitiness showing as it finished. Very light on the palate without a strong flavor, kinda tough being a subtle flavor brew in a mostly belgian beer festival. Phil_L (100), Kent, England Oct 4, 2006 Pleasant Pale Ale. Had a fair bit of this recently. Both in Brussels (?!) and Locally at home. Golden, light head, easy retention. Def, Goldings on the bitter edge, and bit light on the nose, although typical Gadds. Bitter, rather than Floral. Definitely fruity hop notes in the finish. harrisoni (5130), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 27, 2006 Cask handpull - Bruxellensis Festival. Eddie Gadd was actually at the festival and we had a bit of a conversation whilst I got this beer. He had actually read my posting on his Dogbolter and quoted it back to me. Amazing. And a really nice bloke too. Bizarre to see this beer at this festival. Golden/copper colour, thin white head. Bit of malt and grassy hop aroma. Bit of tangerine fruit flavour. Nice pale ale. Dryish finish. JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 12, 2006 Cask Hazy orange-amber, with transparant cask head. Fresh hops, but very dry and discreet, bit of lemon & grapes. Wry, slight bitterish with a bit of Brussels’ endives. Citrus in the finish again. Very light, apt for the ABV. Ends in a wry after’feel’ rather than -taste. Good hoppy, light bitter.
