duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jul 22, 2005 Cask@Chelmsford Beer Festival. Kind of a dull malty sort of bitter, but an averagely drinkable one. Easy drinking, i suppose its a little hoppy in the finish, medium bitter. harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 18, 2005 Cask at Chambers Bar, Folkestone. Chestnut brown, quite a hoppy nose, good smack of hops in moouth, with some malt. A good best bitter, good length of hoppy bitterness and good balanced. Could easily have drunk this all night. Good start to my second 100 beers TBone (4933), Pori, Finland Jul 30, 2006 Cask@Kent Beer Festival 2006.
Copper brown, small white head. Butterscotch aroma with some fruity notes. Slightly sweet and toffeish flavor too - propably from the presence of diacetyl. Mildly hoppy - ok session ale I suppose, when clean.
chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Sep 17, 2005 Cask (gravity dispense), Chelmsford Beer Festival, July 2005. Attractive, bright amber colour. The aroma is mainly malty with caramel, toffee and maybe a hint of smoke and sulphur (sounds like a firework). Flavour is, again. fairly malty, but its quite subtle and well balanced. Not a showstopper, but a decent brew.
Mes_and_Sim (4320), Highgate, Greater London, England Mar 25, 2008 A Mes rate: Gravicask at Planet Thanet 2008. Attractive copper colour with a thin white head and good condition. Great balance of fruit, malt, hops and tobacco. Loads of berries, gorgeous EKG hops and a lip smacking bitter finish. Good stuff.
