COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Creamy head smooth carbonation complements its deep mahogany color. Bouquet teems with chocolate, apple and clove. Roasted malts intertwine with the Tettnanger hops to create a depth of complex flavors. Smooth roasted malts and dark caramel leads to clean finish - unlike any other dark beer.

12 oz, bb March of some year. Translucent chocolate with a lasting quarter-inch of creamy bubbles. Nose of coffee, banana, earthy cocoa and toasted walnut. Taste is coffee, clove, lemon, banana, dirty cocoa, char and prickly green herbs. Medium body is watery, tingly and chalky dry on the finish. Nice, definitely American, assertive roast and hop take on the classic style.

12oz Bottle, purchased from Half Time - Poughkeepsie, NY. Deep caramelized malty nose, with a good bit of mineral, toasted bread, and caramel sauce. Pours a dark yeast and wheat hazed amber, nearing pale chocolate color. A good head of off-white. Flavors are rich and a nice balance of the malts and the yeast. Snappy bananas and citrus mingle with nuttier bock-like caramels. The palate gets a little sticky and terse at times, but this is a rich flavorful example of the style with good characters.
