Recreation of an authentic German Oktoberfest beer from the early 1900s. This amber lager has a rich malty aroma, a smooth toasty palate, and subtle noble hop finish. The richness and spiciness of this beer make it the perfect accompaniment to robust meats and grilled fare. Oktoberfest is a great beer for any festive occasion.

(bottle) pours a murky amber colour with a quickly-dissipating frothy off-white head. aroma of caramel, dark fruit, grape juice and starchy pale malts, slightly oxidized. flavour is mostly the same, oxidized grape juice and caramel, with a chalky semi-dry finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Tap at Studio Square’s Craft Beer Week Fest 2009: Hazy deep copper with a light tan film. Some soft fruity amber malt notes in the aroma with a touch of fruity U.S. hops. Creamy soft body- some vegetal in the flavor with a fruity malt character and perhaps a touch of diacetyl- yet it’s overlook-able. One dimensional and doesn’t feel German.

Sampled at the beer fest in Adamstown Pa. The two beers i sampled from here did not impress me at all, actually they were the worst two of the whole trip. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of hops and fruit. The flavor is bitter, yeasty, and toasted malts. I just didn’t like this one.

Thin head which lasts for a while. Decent lacing and good carbonation. Thin malty aroma with a hint of fruit and a bit of hops. Dark, golden amber in color. Thick, malty biscuit flavor that is softin the mouth. Finish is smooth, dry and a little bitter. A good vienna.

Sampled at Battleship NJ beerfest (Camden). Pours a clear amber color with a small foamy tan head. Aroma of toasted grain, old citrus, and lager yeast. Taste is much the same. Yeasty with notes of toasted grain, caramel malt, rotted lemons.

A little below average, thin body, flavors were a bit bland, amber in body with a modest head, a bit unbalanced, not a very good one
