COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: please beware that this is different from "Randers Juleøl".

Indbrygning 15,5°Brix. Ufiltreret og upasteuriseret.

Aroma is somewhat floury with citron, some apricot and hints of spices. Flavour is somewhat spicy with some citron, floury wheat and toffee typical to aged belgian ales. Quite typical Belgian blonde, no christmas here.

Pours a orange copper colour without a head. Aroma of coriander, some malts and yeast. Flavour of toasted malts, berries, coriander, dried fruits, bitterish hops and some peppery spiciness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and a light, fruity, malty finish. Some weak spiciness in the finish too. Not bad.

Reddish brown beer with a nice, big, almost creamy foam. Smell of Christmas, especially anise and orange. Sweetness is moderate. The flavor is dominated by star anise - in the beginning, this is interesting: Served cold this beer would be perfect for an open sandwich with herring, but but but - as the temperature of the beer rises above 8-9 degrees, the taste of star anise takes over and the beer becomes hard and inelegant, edgy and harsh.
