COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

2011 vintage on tap @ Fermentoren Aarhus (Randers Bryghus tap takeover): Extremely hazy brown colour with a fine beige head. Aroma is thick with age, yeast, floral and herby elements, sugar and some toasted caramel-ish malt notes. Boozy in the first seconds but settles with a rich prominence in the nose. Taste is nicely thick and viscous with lots of yeasty and aged caramel-like sweetness. Bitterness is really nowhere to be found. The finish is slightly boozy, but in a nice way that is quickly replaced by a heavy sweetness with a lovely staying power.

Bottle, courtesy of Mogens (whose RB nick I’ve forgotten, but he’s not really that active anyway...) - cheers man! :-) Pours a deep murky brown body with a medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet raisin-dominated rye and grainy tones with hints of walnuts, alcohol, wood and dark fruits. Taste is sweet candi sugary raisins, nuts and vanilla. Hints of rye, grains and dark fruits. Nice, but very sweet. Well rounded carbonation and filling mouthfeel. A very sweet but also very nice BSA. Since I got a sweet tooth, I kinda dig it.
