Danish: Klassisk tysk Schwarzbier. Sort som kul.
I denne udgave med noget mere malt aroma og bitterhed fra de ristede malte end normalt.
Brygget på Münchnermalt, CaraMünich, Chocolate Wheat Malt, Carafa Special og lidt ristet byg.

EBF2008. It’s black with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and licorice. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, licorice and sweet coffee and a light, slightly dry bitterness. It’s a nice interpretation of a schwarzbier.

Lovely black schwarzbier with a pleasant soft fragrance of dark roasted malt. The taste is soft and fruity, yet slightly sweet. The foam is also extremely good. All in all an interesting and fairly successful beer from Randers Brewery.

Stefano (1874) - Esbjerg, DENMARK - SEP 15, 2008
Draught at EBF 2008. From tap as Randers Sort. Black coloured beer with cremy white brown little head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt and coffee notes. Sweet, coffee, roasted, chocolate, hint of licorice. Medium body, bit sandy. More like a porter than a schwarzbier. Some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, licorice and notes of chocolate. This more like a light porter. Surprised they call this a schwarz.

Bottled. A black beer with thin brown head. The aroma has notes roasted malt, pumpernickle bread, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with lots of caramel as well as roasted malt and pumpernickle, leading to a bitter and hoppy finish.
