Watery, buttery, griany, soapy. Not a very solid take on the style in my opinoin.

On tap at the brewpub. Amber pour as expected. Aromas of toasted malt. Taste is sweeter with almost a hint of smoke from the malts. Best of the three so far but still only ok.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewpub, pours a clear amber/copper with a very thin diminishing head, the aroma has a decent malt backbone with some caramel and fruit coming through, the flavor is pretty much one note with the sweetness of the malt with a slight finish of dark fruit and caramel, pretty drinkable.

Next up was this Amber Lager, which was kind of deflated, empty, and flat. Still better than most Lager’s though.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draught at the brewpub in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light caramel malt, grassy hops and a touch of dried dark fruits. Taste is medium bodied, some light carbonation with a light fruity character with flavors of caramel malt and a nice balance of grassy and flowery hops. Finish is slightly dry, light, crisp, with a light dry hop aftertaste. Not as strong malt flavor as most of their beers but still a decent light amber.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The beer pours to a light colored clear amber body. Creamy white head. Nice lacing. Too pale of a color of the body. The aroma has oranges and caramel malts. Grapefruit rind. The flavor is bordering on an "imperial red". Nice caramelly malts and oranges with light grapefruit rind. So much better than most ambers. I detect a medium-light body.

Poured from the tap at Randys. Amber brown in color, good head at first then somewhat dimishing. Great, enjoyable beer, not "too dark" but not a "light" beer either. Perfect combination. Took home in a growler.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Should be categorized as an amber. Nevertheless...Transparent amber brown in color with a thin, warped, creamy tan head. Honey, hazelnuts, maple and brown sugar summarize the aroma, leading into a flavor profile that has all of the formalities of an amber ale: caramelized pecans, tree bark and a little chocolate. Fairly well balanced, and it’s always good to see when this style places as much importance on the malt make-up as they do on IBUs. Nutty cigar wrapper aftertaste. Decent.

Amber-brown, good head. Big toasty malt aroma. Light body, mildly toasty, with intensely fruity esters, but a fairly clean finish.
