Tried on tap 10/25/12. This 16oz glass pours a clear, amber color with a slight head. The scent has a slight sweet malt and hoppy smell all in one but really lacks in the spices. It has a semi-smooth texture, medium body, with an ok amount of spice in the flavor. This beer could definitely use some work in the flavor department as the spices are weak, bland, and very ordinary. There are plenty of better Oktoberfest brews on the market than this I’m afraid.

On tap at brewpub, pours a dark amber with a thin white head, aroma is of roasty with a decent amount of malt coming through, the flavor has a nice malty base with the sweetness mixing well with other spices, one of the better beers I had here.

On draught at the brewpub in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber with an average sized creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates with good retention and some spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, roasted nuts, a touch of toffee and a mild ice tea. Taste has a different character than its aroma. Has medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a dry multi-grain malt, light grassy hops and a touch of toffee. Finish is slightly chalky, with a semi-dry aftertaste and a mild bitterness that slowly disappears.
