Skyview (2657), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 19, 2008 Served on draught at the Wisconsin Micro-brewers Beerfest in Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a dark cola brown brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a fine film and off-white ring. Aroma of roasted dark black and Munich style malts, some flowery hops, a touch of chocolate and even some licorice. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of toasted dark malt, a touch of lactose character that reminds me of some sweet stouts. Finish has a semi-sweet and toasted dark malt aftertaste that quickly disappears after the finish. JoeM500 (1877), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA Sep 7, 2004 Festival tap: Deep, dark brown with smokey caramel nose. hints of licorice, hints of chcolate. Dry peaty finish. Well put together.
