COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A central Texas take on the classic American style, Ranger Creek OPA is an American Pale Ale at heart that has new dimensions of flavor imparted by Texas-grown oats. It has smooth, sweet, and toasty malt flavors with an underlying creamy nuttiness from the oats. The malt profile is balanced nicely by English Fuggles and American Amarillo hops. The nose and finish are full of spicy, citrusy hops with faint notes of tropical fruits and apricot.

Pours a reddish orange color with a lacy off white head. Notes of earthy hops, pine, orange citrus, apricots, and caramel. Creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Misty orange body and small stable head. Interesting mix of cereal and fresh tropical fruit hops. Tasty bitterness, well balanced actually. Nice one. (On tap at Craft Pride)

Christmas bottle that Zac brought. Pretty tasty brew. You get a good dose of Pacific NW hops in the aroma plus a nice bitterness bite in the flavor. It is balanced nicely by the addition of oats which also adds some smoothness. Very pleasant and easy drinking.

Real nice looking, an amber-orange beer, perfectly clear, with a nice head and sticky lace. Aroma and flavor are nice, aroma is a bit muted compared to taste, which is bolder. A good mix of floral and earthy hops, a bit of woodiness. Body is crisp and has a bitter finish, light to medium and drinkable. My 2nd from this brewery. Overall it’s quite tasty and I will buy it again. Will certainly look for more styles from Ranger Creek, especially since they’re lo

On tap at JW Marriott in San Antonio. Copper colour. Liked the Fruggle Hops. Had never had an oatmeal pale ale before. Very tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Pours lightly hazy orange with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is pine, citrus, and resin hops, peach and pear esters and biscuit malt. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness, malt backbone, fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Beautiful pour: golden body, white head, ridiculously stubborn beady lace. Sharp, biting hops more reminiscent of a West Coast Single IPA than a pale ale. Oatmeal brings body to an otherwise mild style. Interesting, but not really for me.

Tap. Pour is orange with soapy head. Taste is slightly bitter with great Malay notes.

Comes out of the tap an opaque dark honey golden with a fine-bubbled golden-wheat head. Malty aroma has a strong evergreen hoppy overtone and a note of sweet orange. Flavor builds on a malty core with orange, hoppy and honey tones. No oatmeal, but who cares - this is one tasty ale. Thick, rich mouthfeel has tingle to spare. A winner with a flavor about as big as Texas!
