3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Tap Exchange: Piney citrus and some toasty malt aromas. Cloudy amber in appearance. Hoppy pine and citrus flavor profile followed by definite crusty bread notes. It finishes really dry and astringent on the tongue. Overall, I really dig it except for the very astringent mouth-feel to it. Still itís good stuff overall. I will drink more!

Real nice looking, an amber-orange beer, perfectly clear, with a nice head and sticky lace.
Aroma and flavor are nice, aroma is a bit muted compared to taste, which is bolder. A good mix of floral and earthy hops, a bit of woodiness.
Body is crisp and has a bitter finish, light to medium and drinkable.
My 2nd from this brewery. Overall itís quite tasty and I will buy it again. Will certainly look for more styles from Ranger Creek, especially since theyíre lo

On tap at JW Marriott in San Antonio. Copper colour. Liked the Fruggle Hops. Had never had an oatmeal pale ale before. Very tasty.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy orange with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is pine, citrus, and resin hops, peach and pear esters and biscuit malt. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness, malt backbone, fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Beautiful pour: golden body, white head, ridiculously stubborn beady lace. Sharp, biting hops more reminiscent of a West Coast Single IPA than a pale ale. Oatmeal brings body to an otherwise mild style. Interesting, but not really for me.

Comes out of the tap an opaque dark honey golden with a fine-bubbled golden-wheat head. Malty aroma has a strong evergreen hoppy overtone and a note of sweet orange. Flavor builds on a malty core with orange, hoppy and honey tones. No oatmeal, but who cares - this is one tasty ale. Thick, rich mouthfeel has tingle to spare. A winner with a flavor about as big as Texas!

Draft pour at Whip In. Pours a murky amber with a thin white head. Thin sticky lacing clings to the glass. Aroma is oats, hops and a nectar-y sweetness. Flavors are the same with a bitter finish. A decent bar IPA but not one I would seek out. Not as good as I'd heard.

(draft @ The Esquire - San Antonio, TX) Lightly hazy amber pour with a fizzy white head. Citrusy hop aroma with some dry grass notes. Canít really pick up much in the aroma from the oatmeal. Flavor is a nice grassy and slightly citrusy hop flavor. Some mild dryness at the end; whether thatís from the oatmeal or the hops I canít really tell. Not bad though.

Tap flight at Flying Saucer San Antonio. Hazy apricot pour. Aroma of nectarines and dankness. Taste is bitter yellow stone fruit, resin, and unripe papaya. I love the creaminess in the mouth from the oats. Not great but very yum.
