A little bitter, and a little sweet, which is a nice combination for me. Low in carbonation, it's very easy to drink. It's a beautiful ruby red, but I don't really taste much malt.

They’re not lying about the hoppy. "Strong malt backbone" may be overstating it a bit, however. Looks the part but tastes more like a pale ale.

Poured a medium garnet with a healthy head. Nose of hops and mild malt. Heavy hops in the mouth. I think this style should be more leaning towards the malt.

I like the name of this beer because it describes my short visit to San Antonio. Draft at Flying Saucer. Clear bright amber color, tan head. Aroma of subtle caramel. Taste is very bitter toasted caramel. Very nice body.
