375 capped and waxed bottle. Pours a thick gradually collapsing beige head, with some lacing, over a dark brown, (SRM 35) body.....nose is light smoke, toffee/caramel, light chocolate.....taste is light smoke, light toffee/caramel, very light vanilla, hints of Bourbon, finishing with hints of harsh terpene along with moderate bitterness.....mouth feel thin, alcohol warmth present, carbonation low adding an acid bite. This is a very simple uninteresting beer which has enough off flavors to make it quite mediocre. BJCP 6/3/10/4/5

Dark brown pour, big tan head. Flavor of old fruit mixed with roast, vanilla, coffee...I think this one is infected too.

Pours black with a little head that diminishes. Aroma of slight smoke and dark plums. Thick on the palate with dark cherry, vanilla, and finishes with a mesquite finish.

Dark brown pour with an off-white head. Sour and acetic on the front end. Smokey, oak, chocolate, and some dark fruit. A little bit of a smoked gouda note to it. The flavor is similarly smokey and tart. There’s a bit of dark fruit, fair amount of oak, roasted malt, vinegar, and chocolate. Not bad, just not really appealing.

Pours dark brown with a bubbly head. aroma smoke wood, malt, tobacco, meat with a hint of orange and salt. Tastes less intense than the aroma but still great hints of smoked pork with an orange marmalade glaze, not as sweet as I thought it would be. Lighter on the palate as well but not in a bad way as you could drink this all day. BUt at 10% it is a very dangerous beer. Alcohol was not very present in either taste or smell. A very nice beer indeed!

Pours very dark almost black with large light brown head out of bottle. Great chocolate aroma with an oaky flavor. Overall a good beer but I really expected more from this limited batch.

Draught at Black Star. Low carbonation in pour. Some chocolate and roast. Thin to medium body. Some oak and vanilla. Finishes with smoke as it warms. Ok.

(Draught) clear deep brown, deep tan head. Nose of vanilla, milk chocolate, graham cracker, light alcohol, barrel, and whiskey. Taste of light grape, sawdust, maybe infected, not horrible, grape jam, unique and linger of vanilla.

Sweet almost bubblegum up front. Followed by mild roast and lots of smoke.
