Cascadian, simcoe aromas decaying nicely into wood scent. Slight head, slightly cloudy. Some appreciable heat, and warming. Phenols probably of hop origin. slightly resinous, fruity wood aromas. Just off dry. This is well done. Iím not seeing the advantage of wood here, nor the effects of souring elements. Still very solid and interesting. I have another bottle, Iíll keep to look at in a couple months. Thanks!

Bottle from Rosebud Butternuts. Pours copper with a foamy beige head. Aroma of tripel fruit esters with oak and a hint of rye. Med body or better. Pineapple, light stone fruit, oak, mild rye, and the flavors sort of rotate. Really firm flavors. So woody it approaches sour. Quite tasty.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours clear golden with a fluffy off-white head and a citrus and coconut aroma. There is a slightly sour pale malt flavor with a hint of oak.

375ml bottle thanks to Errl. The rubbery wax on this bottle was quite resilient. Aroma is musty and dry with a fruity floral presence. Taste is funky and floral. Has a nice dry sweetness. Really not what I was expecting, but its really quite good.

Bottle. Clear yellow pour with a white head. Bitter bland hops and belgian yeast notes. Below average mouthfeel. Shallow and uninspiring.

From 12.7 oz wax top bottle.
Poured in a Chimay goblet.
Pours copper with significant head and lace.
Aroma of oak, sour fruit, slight alcohol, barnyard.
Significant mouthfeel and carbonation.
Flavors of a funky mix of oak, tannins, white grapefruit rind, white pepper, rye, leather, dried apricot. Overall big, bold, slightly mouth puckering with spices. Bitter, dry finish.

375ml bottle: Thanks Kaggie! The first think I liked about this was how easy it was to get the wax off to pop the cap! The beer pours a fairly clear amber color. There was a small off-white head that doesnít linger long. An interesting aroma. It is befinitely old and musty smelling. Pineapple, citrus and oak dominate the nose. A bit of rye and spices in there also. The taste is good. Definitely dry and oaky flavors. Rye, some malts, spices, hints of fruit (pineapple and apricot), and a few other subtle items. Very nice!

Bottle from Fratto. Pours a cloudy murky yellow orange color with a light head. Aroma is citrus orange, yeasty notes and sweet. Flavor is very yeasty and woody, with dry dry finish. Light fruit flavor. Dry bitter finish.

Bottle from South Lamar. Orange pour with a white head. Aroma is super citrus, dry spice, and alcohol. Taste is spicy, fruity, weird hops, and a finish that's pretty great.
