Poured at Flying Saucer Fall Beer Fest in Austin on October 1, 2011, this is a very cloudy, deep and bright orange-colored beer with a frothy, bright-white head. It has a very unique aroma that smells a little thick and syrupy. It seems to be hopped like an IPA, but is very densely-bodied and almost muddy. My guess on the style would be a white IPA. The flavor, however, is a little uneventful. I’m not very impressed by this. There’s a little of a bite in the back of the throat and you can tell there’s a little bit of hops to keep this lively and bring it out of dormancy. Although it’s a pretty dull beer, there’s nothing offensive about it and it’s really not too bad of a drink.
