On tap at the brewery. Light golden pour with a thin off white head. Strong aroma of barnyard funk, basement and sweet malt. Strong finish.

On tap at brewery. Hazy straw gold with fluffy white head. Lots of smoke up front with light grain. Smokey soft grain finish. unique but still very drinkable.

Smoke is stronger than the gratzer but is tamed in the flavor by some light acidity. Smooth and slightly smoky and earthy in the finish.

Tap flight at the brewery. Light honey colored pour, thin white head. Still in the glass. Smoky, Band Aid aroma. Taste is peat smoke (Band Aid), yellow grapefruit, unripe stone fruit, wheat malt mid palate, and deli ham on the finish. Sparkly in the mouth.

At Hunahpu Day ’13 - someone shared from a growler if I remember correctly: lemon, oak, smoke and tart late - pretty damn interesting - 7.8

Draft at the brewpub. Pours hazy pale golden with a nice white head leaving small laces. Aroma is smoked ham a bit astringent tart and fruity. Flavor is very fresh wheaty and like the aroma very appealling. Finishes fruity sourish and salty smokey.

on tap at Cajun Cafe Spring Beer Festival 2012. Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma of smoke, wheat and lacto as well as some citrus. Taste follows, nothing seems to overpower which is interesting for a smoked beer. Even with the smoke it is still light and refreshing. I like this one

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Thanks Paul. Almost clear light golden. No head. So much smoke in the nose. The flavor is smokey and meaty. Tart. Not a big fan.

A hazed golden ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice smokey and peaty wheat malt , lactic notes, superb. In mouth, a nice lactic malt, gose-like, with smooth peated smokyness, very good. On tap at brewpub, Dec. 8 2012.

Pour out of 32 oz growler, thanks Paul! Hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of a lactic lemony note, hints of spice, slight funk, oak in there going into a very prominent smoky note, very odd. Taste was a mix of sweet and salty smoke, some biscuit, bread, going into tart lemon, lactic and oak notes, finishing fairly tart with more smoke on the back end.
