A traditional German Weizenbock with the addition of maple syrup- light golden in color, slightly sweet, a hint of banana and clove, light hop character, and a well-concealed potency.

Nose was full of maple, very earthy, with some alcohol present. Pour had almost no head, and was a pleasant yellow. Taste had wheat and was sweet, earthy and full. Sadly, lack of head and lack of carbonation in the palate, but sampled at a beerfest midday out of growlers.

Keg at the brewery druing RBWG Booze Buseday 20/02/15. Hazed orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is toffee, nutty tones, spice, bitter dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises yeasty tones, bitter orange, spice, nutty, malt loaf, light syrup. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate for style but fails to deliver the depth promised from the ABV.

Keg @ Rapp Brewing during RBWG. Cheers to the Rapp Crew! Slightly hazy amber pour with a small head. The nose is a total banana bomb. Sweet, sticky overripe bananas. Some maple nut bar and burnt brown sugar. Sweet esters. Flavor is similar. Sweet and sticky with some earthy nut character. A bit of raisin bran cereal. Plum jam slathered brown bread. Thick and oily, substantial. A touch flabby for me.

Draft. Fruity, estery nose with some vinous character. Hazy light brown with minimal head. Taste is sweet, malty, grainy. Some banana but no clove. Not much alcohol warning initially but gets to be a little peppery in the throat as I drink it. Nice.
