Nice toast and light earth through the nose and flavor. Good bitterness after a light-medium body. Light caramel.

Tap flight at the brewery. Dark amber pour, minimal head. Aroma is coffee and ash. Taste is ashy and roasty, but not bitter from the roast. Malty brew with good Euro hop balance.

From the growler at Cajun Cafe Fall Fest 2012. Pours a hazy brown-amber with a white head. Nose is some light toffee, light fruit, and mild earth. Flavor follows- mild fruit, toffee, and mild earth. A nice take on an underappreciated style overall.

The aroma and the taste were both malty sweet, but had a strange element I could only describe as freezer burn. This was minor though. The palate was a little watery, but there was also a nice zest.

Sampled from a growler at the Cajun Cafe Fall Fest. Pours a cloudy deep amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains and dark bread with a hint of underlying biscuit. Flavor has sweet grains and sweet dark bread through out with a hint of biscuit in the finish.
