Gundestrup Mejeristens Stout (Imperial Stout)

Brewed by Gundestrup Mejeri og Bryghus
Kirkeby, Stenstrup, Denmark
Style: Imperial Stout | Ratings: 31 | Alcohol: 9.1%
A black, top-fermented beer with a firm brown head and a pleasant bitterness from roasted barley and chocolate malt, and from centennial, fuggles, East Kent golding and cascade hops. The bitterness is around 60 IBU. The malt bill is pale malt, cara munich, cara crystal, chocolate and a little roasted barley. The malt leaves a residual sweetness that matches the bitterness. To complete the flavour profile, the beer is aged on roasted oak chips.
