A beautiful mild brewed for the midlands - perhaps the new home of the mild style beer.
NOTE: In 1961 Ansells merged with Tetley and Ind Coope to form Allied Breweries. Ansells brewery closed in 1981 and production initially moved to Burton, then to Leeds. The brand is currently under the ownership of Carlsberg and, after the closure of the Leeds brewery, believed to have been contract brewed at J W Lees and latterly at Marstons. Discontinued in early 2012.
