New Brighton, Minnesota USA Session IPA is a style that is just developing. It is coming from the desire to enjoy very hoppy beers with less alcohol, so you can drink them for an extended period of time without getting wasted. As craft beer develops the trend is towards higher alcohol beers that are maltier and hoppier than ever before. This style bucks the trend. Historically an IPA was 5-6% abv. Today many, if not most, are 6-7%, and it isn’t unheard of to see them in the 8% range without being called Imperial. Our Session IPA is lower octane, clocking in at 4.9%, but packing in all the hops of a much bigger beer. Perfect beer for summer drinking, sure to satisfy even your biggest Hop Head.
