Know smoked squash beer and know yourself. We chose Ben Bottomsís home brew recipe to duplicate with him for our combined Pro-Am entry this year at GABF (talk about your Battlefield Earth!). Benís list of ingredients stretches to the cosmos, including pale, pilsner, Munich, C-60 and C-80 crystal, Dextra-pils, Carafa 2 and wheat malts, and a little flaked barley just for good measure. Oh, and squash. Ben smoked his own Hubbard squash, but we used acorn, smoked at the yearly smokeout at the Pub at Piperís Creek. Incidental amounts of Cascade were added twice.
